LEGO Epic Limited Edition Paris Street and Hill Castle Available Soon

If you consider yourself a die-hard adult-grade LEGO fan, you might want to hover over these buy buttons on Wednesday, February 7 at 11 a.m. ET. At that time, LEGO will start selling five limited-edition sets, which is essentially a fan’s dream come true: fans enter the BrickLink Designer Program competition to build these LEGO sets themselves, and they’ll receive 5% of the proceeds!

They’re also really cool builds. I’ll definitely be eyeing the $380 Mountain Fortress, which looks like a perfect counterpart to my Lion Knight Castle; the $50 Snack Shack, which reminds me of the shrimp carts I loved in Hawaii; and the $320 Paris Street, which has Timeless Haussmann architecture and charming storefronts.

LEGO believes the sets will ship in July 2024, but “actual dates and shipping times may vary.”

LEGO will also be producing more fan-designed sets than ever before. While previous fan creations were limited to 10,000 copies or less, LEGO initially announced that this batch would be limited to 20,000 copies, but the company now says it will be limited to 30,000 copies. This means these sets may not be as valuable to collectors as previous batches, most of which have been worth double, but hopefully this means fewer scalpers!

This also means that fan designers on the largest series can receive royalties of approximately $500,000. Picture this.
