Samsung Galaxy S24 phones are up to $150 off at Amazon and Best Buy

Both Amazon and Best Buy have started new sales on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, with discounts of up to $150 on unlocked versions of the recently released smartphones. The 6.8-inch Galaxy S24 Ultra and 6.7-inch Galaxy S24 Plus are $150 off, selling for $1,150 and $850 respectively, while the 6.2-inch Galaxy S24 is $100 off, selling for $700. We’ve seen a few trade-in and gift card offers on these phones since their launch in late January, but this is the biggest cash discount yet. As a reminder, the storage space of the S24 Ultra and S24 Plus starts from 256GB, while the storage space of the basic S24 starts from 128GB. If you need more space, there are discounts on higher-capacity models, too. These deals are also available on multiple color options.

This is the biggest cash discount we’ve ever seen on an unlocked version of Samsung’s latest flagship phone.

Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro remain the top picks in our guide to the best Android phones: They take better photos, generally offer a sharper software experience, and generally cost less. That said, we think the Galaxy S24 Ultra is a good choice for those willing to invest in more premium hardware. It runs on a faster chip (Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3), has a gorgeous OLED display and gets better battery life. Its titanium frame should be more durable in the long run, and it also comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus. Samsung did increase the price by $100 over last year’s model, but this deal offsets at least a little of the increase. In our review earlier this year, we gave the Galaxy S24 Ultra a score of 89 points.

The smaller Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus aren’t quite as high-end, but might still be worth it if you want to avoid the Pixel. Both scored 87 points in our review. They still give you a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a rich 120Hz OLED display, and seven years of software updates. The software includes the same suite of random artificial intelligence features, including instant language translation tools. The S24 Plus lasts longer on a charge, but the base S24 may appeal to people who want something more compact. However, the S24 Ultra has a more advanced camera array, including a sharper main lens and an additional telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Both also use aluminum frames instead of titanium ones. It’s inevitable that we’ll see bigger discounts on every phone over the next few months, but if you’ve been using an older Galaxy device and want to upgrade today, this is a great opportunity to save some money .
